Geranium Video Converter offers a convenient solution for converting media files. The program supports a large palette of both video and audio formats, so that any type of media file can be easily turned into the file format supported by your player or portable device.

The application provides a simple, yet not very modern interface. The appearance is different from other similar conversion tools, but once you master it, you will notice that it isn't very difficult to use. All you need to do is load a file – or an entire folder of files – either by drag-and-drop or by browsing through your computer. The program offers you some additional information about the imported file(s), such as the file's name, size, and type, the track's length, the file's location, and so on. What makes the difference between Geranium Video Converter and other utilities alike is the way the presets are organized. The utility comes with a great number of them, but some may pass unnoticed if you don't have the inspiration to access the 'Activate/Deactivate' module. From here you have the possibility to enable – and, respectively, disable – presets. This way you can configure the list of presets to correspond to your most frequently used tasks; otherwise, the list is too long and difficult to manage. In addition, the app allows you to make your own presets and save them for later use.

The program is good and runs well. Besides being a media converter, the tool also helps you find duplicate files, rename and encrypt files, as well as resize images. Unfortunately, it doesn't provide you with a preview of the imported files, or with any editing features whatsoever. As for me, I wouldn't use such a program daily since I find it difficult to handle with all its enabled and disabled presets. There are many video and audio converters with much more appealing interfaces that can be used for free.
