FileChute 4.3

FileChute is an application that makes file sharing easier. The developers of the app understand what a pain it is to send files in the form of e-mail attachments.

So they developed FileChute. This app allows you to upload files to your MobileMe account easily and share them with other people by means of a download link. From what I could gather, when you upload multiple files, FileChute zips them and uploads them to your MobileMe account. Users then download the zip file and have all your files. For those who don't have MobileMe, FileChute also supports FTP servers and WebDAV servers. For those who don't have any of those, well, they are better off not using this tool.

Setting FileChute up with MobileMe is a breeze and that is really the way the app was intended to work. The rest of the protocols available work well once they have been configured. I tested the FTP connection with an FTP server on my own Mac, and it worked well, but that means that I would have to leave my computer on all the time to send people files, and that is counterproductive.

All in all, this is a very innovative app that can make the life of MobileMe users a lot easier by letting them send files easily.
