Ecoute is a media player for Mac users who wish to enjoy playing their multimedia files in a nicely polished environment with easy to handle playing controls. The program communicates well with the iTunes app, therefore, you can easily import its libraries, listen to your favorite songs and play TV shows.
You can use this program to change the artwork for any song from your iTunes library, search for tunes within your music collection, edit the ID3 tags for any audio file, and much more. In addition, the app lets you sync the ID3 tags with iTunes once you quit Ecoute and share your favorite tunes with your friends from Facebook and Last.FM.
A good thing about working with this program is that it also brings you a mini player for easier playlist control. Therefore, if you minimize the main window of the app, you can use the this desktop controller to play the next tune or pause the song you listen to.
There are only two aspects I don't like: the application doesn't come with an integrated equalizer and it runs slow when changing the artwork for songs.
As for the rest, Ecoute works fine. The app is very simple to control, helps you find any song within your iTunes libraries, and comes with no price tag.
