Easy Access Tube is a nice tool for YouTube users. As its name suggests, it does give you easier access to YouTube. More specifically, it provides you with a menubar icon from where you can browse YouTube subscriptions, favorite videos or search for any video on the website.

When you click on the menubar icon, a large window will pop up from the top of the screen. This window consists of a toolbar at the top and some content below that. The first thing that appeared on this window were my subscriptions. I was logged in to YouTube, but you might be asked to type in your account information. The toolbar involves a YouTube logo on the left and two buttons on the right. The latter let you access a menu and search for videos. When you click on the YouTube logo, you are taken back to your subscriptions or recommended videos. The menu lets you access your favorites, playlists, your own videos, settings, your message inbox and any live events on YouTube.

Watching a video with this application isn't the best YouTube experience that you can get. The buffering of the video will depend on the speed of your connection. But the video playback controls were very unresponsive during the time I spent trying to watch videos. I couldn't get to the play and pause buttons when I wanted and the full-screen mode didn't work for me.

So, keeping in mind all of the above, I would be hesitant to recommend this app to YouTube users. If they solve the problems with the interface or add an option to watch in Safari, or any other web browser, then the application would be much better and even worth a try on your Mac.
