Dropbox is one of the most popular Cloud services in the world. With its assistance, you can back up your important files to the Cloud and access them from other Macs or media gadgets.
After you log in to your Dropbox account, a new Dropbox directory will be created on your Mac. You can choose which files and folders to be backed up, drag-and-drop new documents into the Dropbox directory to immediately back up to your account, etc.
Dropbox lives on your Menu Bar from where you can access its settings, the backup history log, and notifications. From the same place, you can pause and resume the sync task and immediately open the Dropbox folder.
Like most Cloud services, Dropbox comes with a limit for free data upload. But you can buy more Cloud backup space. You can choose between various pricing plans from the homepage of the developer. Another solution would be to delete old backed up files from your Cloud account to make room for new ones.
Personally, I use this program on a daily basis to back up my work documents. I never had any problems while working with this tool as it immediately completed sync tasks and didn't slow down my Mac while doing so.
