DiskCatalogMaker is a utility that helps you analyze your disk space usage and catalog its contents.

The program might prove to be of good use if you need to easily identify the current structure of your directories and print it with just a few clicks.

You can analyze entire disks or select a certain directory from your Mac. The application will immediately provide you with the results you need, without slowing down the performance of your system.

DiskCatalogMaker is also packed with a built-in search utility. This tool lets you choose between multiple search filters and takes only a few moments to display the results. Simply click one of the found files and the app will reveal detailed information about the document.

Only two things bother me: it's a bit pricey compared to other disk cataloging tools and supports only 2 output formats when exporting the given reports (TXT and CSV).

Still, you can test the trial version, see how it works, and then decide if it's worth buying this program for your Mac or not. The application is very intuitive, comes with a powerful search tool, and works 100%.

Pros

  • Localized in multiple languages
  • Supports drag-and-drop actions
  • Fast scanning speed
  • Supports batch processing
  • Comes with an efficient search tool

Cons

  • Supports only 2 output formats (TXT and CSV)
  • You can find cheaper solutions

I work with multiple servers and large number of file. This software is a great help to locate file across multiple systems and amazing search function. Love the function of automatic remote folder mount, multiple catalogs and speed on indexing. Highly recommended.

This is a great old school power user tool in a era that has forgotten all about the poweruser.
