Disk Diag is a system optimizer that offers to clean your computer of useless files. The tool provides you with a straightforward solution to regain valuable free space by removing junk and large files that clutter your computer and slow down its performance.
At first opening, the app asks you to determine the home folder. Once selected, it will be preserved as the only computer location for all future scan attempts, without being able to replace your selection with a different folder. The program doesn't come with any hidden settings to enable, which makes the tool very easy to use. All you need to do is press the 'Start' button and the utility will search the already-selected home folder for unneeded files.
Once the scan process is over, the tool displays the results conveniently organized into eight categories of files which correspond to Internet and mail downloads, caches and logs, browser data and app leftovers, Trash items, and large files. All files can be revealed in Finder so that you can check whether they’re worth being preserved or if they can be wiped out permanently. The program supports removing selective categories of files, but unfortunately, you can't choose specific files within a category to be saved from deletion.
To sum up, Disk Diag is designed for home users looking for a simple way to clean their computers of useless files. Consequently, the system will run better and the enabled tasks will complete in a shorter amount of time, without blockages or errors.
