A hybrid CD is a CD-ROM that has both a Mac and a Windows file system, so that it looks like a Mac CD when mounted on a Mac and looks like a Windows CD when mounted on a Windows machine. A custom hybrid CD is one in which the two file systems present somewhat different sets of files. Mac OS X makes it easy to burn a hybrid CD, but not a custom hybrid CD. This kit is a set of applications (written in AppleScript) that help you construct custom hybrid CDs.
It was developed and tested under Snow Leopard, but will probably work under some other OS versions.
What's new in this version:
- You can now use the UDF file system, rather than Joliet, on the Windows side, allowing longer file names.
- The apps are built as universal, so they no longer require Rosetta.
- The scripts to mount and unmount the Windows side of a CD have been replaced by similar scripts that operate on disk images.
