ColorFolder is a very simple application that helps you customize the appearance of your folders with vivid colors. This way, you can turn the dull look of standard folders into eye-catching colorful appearances that animate your desktop and make your Finder browsing experience more enjoyable.
Managing the program is very easy. All you need to do is drag and drop a folder's icon into the application, select the desired color, and validate the change. You have 19 predefined colors at close reach on the main window. These profiles can be selected with just one click, but they can't be modified or replaced. However, the tool comes with nice color schemes so you can browse and choose the perfect color for your folders. Unfortunately, the color you picked up from the available pallets can't be saved as color profiles for later use. Another drawback that worth being mentioned refers to batch folder processing - namely, the color change can be applied only for one folder at a time. In addition, the tool doesn't support all types of folder icons. For instance, I wasn't able to change the color of shortcut folders.
To conclude, ColorFolder is neither a must-have tool nor an application to completely ignore. It is simply designed to make the appearance of your folders more attractive and colorful.
