Cisdem AppCrypt offers a smart solution to protect sensitive and confidential data in your applications from being accessed by unauthorized users.

The tool locks the apps you select and prevents them from being opened. The locked apps are password-protected and can't be launched unless you enter the right code. Indeed, if someone tries to open the protected apps, AppCrypt will inform you at reopening the program about the failed attempts to access those.

The utility is installed in the menu bar of your Mac, so that you can access the app with ease whenever the situation requires it. Optionally, you can hide the key-like icon and let it operate discreetly while being controlled by custom hotkeys. When opening the program for the first time, you’ll be asked to set your AppCrypt password. The same password will be used to manually unlock the apps you previously secured. You can change the initial password in Preferences at any moment.

Since it provides a simple and intuitive interface, managing the program is a hassle-free task. Therefore, all you need to do is select the apps you want to protect, and AppCrypt will make them inaccessible to other users sharing the same computer. A special feature offered by the utility is the support of an encryption scheduler - it is a handy function that allows you to set time intervals and the days of the week when the desired apps will be restricted from general use. When someone tries to break the access code of a secured app, the program registers the attempt in a report and offers to take a photo of the intruder.
