The CCEL Desktop is a desktop digital library. It supports installation, maintenance, access, and searching of books from the Christian Classics Ethereal Library (http://www.ccel.org) on your PC.
The desktop application is based on a client-server architecture. Once started, this server offers several functions all from the safe comfort of a web browser:
- Browse the catalog of books available in the CCEL
- See what books have been installed locally
- Install books off of CD or the Web
- Search the full text of the locally installed books.
