BitTorrent Web is intended for data sharing using a very popular P2P protocol. It is a torrent client with the peculiarity of being available from your browser. Fortunately, you do not need to configure anything as it comes optimized to start transferring data right away.

The application is very light and runs from the Menu Bar. Thus, with just a click there, it automatically opens a search page specifically configured to find contents available as torrents, which has the extra advantage of protecting you from potentially harmful websites. However, searching is not the only way to start downloading data as it also supports entering magnet or torrent links or simply dragging and dropping a torrent file onto the window.

One of the best advantages of using BitTorrent Web is that it comes with a media player. In this regard, you do not even need to leave your browser to stream video or audio contents. Good news is that you can start watching a movie right away without needing to wait for the whole file to download. More than just that, the media files are searchable, which means you can move forward and the client takes care of downloading that specific part for you.

In general, BitTorrent Web is great for sharing data with others via torrents. In my opinion, one of the drawbacks of its free version is that it does not provide much information as to the connections being made or info about the files being downloaded. However, you can have more if you purchase the Pro version. In this respect, you may also want to take a look at the Pro version with a built-in VPN client.
