Birthday Reminder is is an older version of Milestone Reminder and it is a very simple application that allows you to organize the birthdays of your family members and friends in a simple way so that you never forget about them. The dates are imported from your Address Book and when you have organized them, you can easily export them to iCal. The program also allows you to have birthdays highlighted with a distinctive color of your choice a certain number of days in advance.
Unfortunately, the program cannot be used if you do not use Address Book as you you are not allowed to add birthdays manually. It would also be great if you could select a different icon for each birthday or mark them with different colors to recognize them more easily. Sadly, you cannot add an alarm to certain dates to remind you that the same day, which is really a shame, and it is a feature you expect in a reminder application.
To conclude, if you are always forgetting birthdays and you need a simple application to remind you when you need to call a friend or a relative, Birthday Reminder may work for you.
