Be Focused Pro is intended to help you optimize the use of your time while you are working. In this respect, the application supports a time-management method called Pomodoro, which is based on assigning periods of time to specific tasks. Then, each task is broken down into work intervals separated by breaks.
This timer’s interface is quite straightforward and unobtrusive. It runs from the menu bar and does not disturb you unless a reminder is due. There, it shows a countdown timer, which serves as a guide to know how much time you have left for the current interval.
Good news is that you can customize the timer to meet your needs and preferences. Thus, it is possible to set the desired duration of work intervals as that of long and short breaks. Similarly, you can specify the number of intervals between long breaks and the target number of intervals in a day.
Luckily, the application supports creating a list of to-do tasks, though managing projects is not possible. For each new task, you can assign a title, the type of activity, its due date, the number of estimated and completed intervals. Likewise, you can tag them for better organizing. Finally, there is a list of tasks, with the possibility of searching by name.
Fortunately, Be Focused Pro allows consulting the statistics about your work sessions. In this respect, it can generate visual reports of your work intervals, skipped work intervals, completed tasks and total duration. Moreover, you can use filters, such as a given time period and tags. more
