AutoCAD WS is an application that is designed for viewing, editing and sharing CAD designs. Its purpose is basically the same as that of AutoCAD WS for mobile devices.
With this utility, users can open files with the DWG extension.
In order to use the application, a free Autodesk account is required. It must be said that from time to time the connection with the AuoCAD WS services can be interrupted, and it is not clear whether the Internet services are solely responsible for such incidents. The DWG file extension is associated with the CAD (computer-aided design) platform developed by Autodesk, Inc. known as AutoCAD. Technical drawings with the DWG extension can be opened with AutoCAD WS and certain editing actions can be then performed. The drawing can be completed, as drawing tools are available: line, poly-line, circle, rectangle, cloud, free line. Text can also be added to the draft. Objects can be moved, rotated and deleted and measurements can be taken. After selecting two points of interest, the distance between them can be returned. For a larger number of points, the perimeter and the area of the figure that they define can be calculated automatically. Drawings can be downloaded and emailed from within the utility.
