Info updated on:

AppLocker is a solution that helps users to protect their applications from unauthorized access whenever someone tries to launch them. Therefore, when someone would try to enter an application, a password - that was previously set by the owner - must be introduced in order to gain access to that app.

Aesthetically, the app has a basic interface, doesn't include extra skin themes or other graphical customizations, and has very few configuration options.

When it comes to its features, AppLocker integrates a wide variety of functions. It embeds Touch ID, a feature that lets users unlock apps with fingerprint, and also Bluetooth ID, a function that can be used to unlock the app if a personal phone is situated within a certain distance to the Mac.

Moreover, it has an Access History feature that can be used to check when the protected apps were accessed. Also, the app automatically locks the administrative applications and allows users to add new apps to the list through the built-in lock manager.

In conclusion, AppLocker represents a smart way of protecting your app from unauthorized access. However, after locking a few apps, you'll have to upgrade to the Pro version to add more apps to the lock list. Also, the process of recovering the master password is a bit tedious.
