The recordings are saved into popular MP3, M4A, and WMA formats, supported by most media players. Unfortunately, you aren't able to apply advanced settings regarding the output file quality. The program comes with a series of presets, such as 'high', 'medium', 'best quality', etc., but you don't have any idea about what parameters they refer to. Before saving the new tracks, you can listen to them first, as the utility provides you with an embedded audio player.

Overall, Apowersoft Mac Audio Recorder is a helpful program for Mac users who wish to record sounds coming from their computer. No matter if the audio source is a microphone or a system application, the recording is just as good. Yet, I would have liked it more if it had given me the freedom to set my own quality parameters. Plus, I consider that the price is rather high considering the program's abilities.
