Animix 1.6

Animix is an application for Mac users who wish to animate their favorite pictures with minimum effort.

This program gives you access to a wide range of visual effects, each with individual configurations, and lets you save the resulted animations as screensavers and QuickTime movies.

The app comes with a simple interface and easy to configure output settings, so any user would be able to handle it. You can make great use of the built-in Photo Navigator tool which allows you to zoom in the edited picture and check if the result matches your needs.

After configuring the settings for the added visual effects, you can change the photo's resolution and export the result to the preferred folder destination. Unfortunately, you can choose only from three output formats: animixScene, MOV, and PNG.

Another thing I don't like about working with Animix is that the app might not work at its full potential when adding more than one layer (visual effect) to the picture. Plus, it takes a while to export images to MOV output format.

To conclude, Animix is a simple to use app that helps you effortlessly animate photos. However, my belief is that you can find more adequate solutions for this task, that don't include the aforementioned flaws.
