AKVIS Sketch is a Mac program that comes in handy if you wish to transform a plain picture into a stunning work of art. This application provides you with a simple solution for converting portraits and landscape photos into pencil sketches and sharing your impressive results with the world.
You don't require advanced image editing skills in order to work with this Mac utility. The application provides you with various output profiles, which you can choose for your pictures, and very simple-to-configure settings.
This program also offers you the Batch Processing tool that comes in handy if you wish to modify multiple pictures at the same time, using a single output profile. I like the fact that even when selecting a large amount of input files, the utility takes only a few moments to offer me the pencil sketches I need.
Unfortunately, the application comes with a disadvantage: it supports only three output formats (TIFF, JPEG, and PNG). And since you need to pay quite a few bucks to acquire this image editing utility, I'd say it really matters.
However, AKVIS Sketch provides you with high-quality results and you can get the output files you need with just a few clicks. Unlike similar apps that are cheaper or even free, this program really impressed me with the level of details within the pencil sketches.
