AKVIS Magnifier is a program that enables you to resize your pictures with minimum effort. The application supports a wide variety of input formats, allows you to batch resize photos, and immediately generates the quality output files you need, without slowing down the performance of your system.
After you import the image you wish to resize, you can select one of the output profiles that are being listed on the right side of the interface. You can also create, save, and use your own resizing profile if needed. The program lets you preview the resulting image before modifying it.
AKVIS Magnifier might prove to be of good use if you need to prepare a set of pictures for a collage and want all of your images to have a certain resolution. You can enlarge or shrink your pictures by inches, pixels, etc.
The built-in batch utility enables you to apply a certain resizing profile for a given set of pictures from your local directories. AKVIS Magnifier takes only a few moments to generate the files you need and no quality is lost in the process.
Still, even with these many advantages, I still don't think it's worth paying this much for the application. Besides the fact that you can find cheaper solutions that offer you similar results, the application also occasionally runs slow and supports a small amount of output formats. I'd say you should look for a different image resizing utility for your Mac.
