AKVIS Magnifier is an image editing utility that enables you to change the resolution of your favorite pictures without losing their quality. This program lets you import a wide variety of image formats, from popular ones like PNG, JPEG or TIFF to CR2, ARW, MOS or RAF.
You can use this application whenever you need your pictures to fit a certain resolution profile. Some websites require exact width and length values for image upload. You can work with AKVIS Magnifier to easily resize your images.
The program lets you choose from a wide variety of resizing profiles but you can create your own if necessary by altering the output settings according to your needs. You can save the created profiles in case you wish to reuse them later on different images.
AKVIS Magnifier provides you with two configuring modes: Express and Advanced. The first one is made for beginner computer users who have little image manipulation experience while the latter offers output settings for professionals (adjust levels for Grain, Edge Smoothness, Unsharp Mask, etc.).
Once you complete the image altering process and you're happy with the result photo, you can export it to your local folders. Unfortunately, the app lets you choose from a small amount of output formats: JPEG, PNG, BMP, and TIFF.
Until using this program for image resizing tasks, I worked with Mac's Preview tool (default image viewer) which occasionally failed to preserve the quality of the input files. Fortunately, AKVIS Magnifier generates images without any loss in quality.
