PhotoScore Ultimate & NotateMe Ultimate is intended for amateur and professional musicians who need to transpose music scores. Likewise, the tool supports music playback and exporting to other formats. The application is quite easy to use, even if it is your first time.

One of the main features of this application is that it scans handwritten scores or opens PDFs and then recognizes the notes. Luckily, it can recognize 4 and 6-line guitar tablatures as well as 1, 2 and 3-line percussion staves. Likewise, the app supports reading various types of text in 120 different languages. Regrettably, the tool can be inaccurate at times; for example, it may fail to properly recognize some endings, tuples and repeat marks.

After doing this, the source scores become editable. Fortunately, the tool supports playing the notes with incredible accuracy so that you can make necessary changes. In this respect, it allows entering any kind of symbols, such as chords, signatures and clefs.

The application lets you share the scores in various ways. For instance, they can be sent to printer and the resulting copies can be distributed to many people. Moreover, it allows exporting to formats supported by other popular music editors, like Finale and Dorico. Similarly, the generated audio can be saved in WAV and AIFF formats.

All in all, PhotoScore & NotateMe Ultimate can increase productivity as it avoids manually transcribing handwritten scores. Similarly, it also comes with various advantageous editing features. The product is shareware and can be tried at no cost. Since the price may seem somewhat high, you should know there is also a more affordable Lite version.
