Backgammon is an entertaining board game popular all over the world. Absolute Backgammon is an app that lets you play backgammon against the computer or against a friend.

You can also use this program to learn the rules of this game, improve your backgammon tactics, and have access to helpful gameplay suggestions.

The app provides you with two display modes: a large wooden-like board and an average-size green window. You also have access to various sound configurations and even an integrated speech tool which lets you know the rolling dice values and if there are any piece-moving errors.

An advantage of this program is the fact that it brings you various instructions, suitable for both beginners and professional backgammon players. You can learn how to move your pieces on the board, change the game rules if necessary, and much more. The app also lets you adjust the piece movement speed, has an option to show available moves, and allows you to choose between five difficulty levels.

The thing that doesn't seem to work with this program is its Save option. Once you click it, the application immediately shuts down. The only way to save your game progress is to select the Save As option.

Despite its saving feature issue, I still consider it is worth trying this game. The application brings an intuitive interface, plenty of game instructions and hints, and comes with a reasonable price.
