4Media iPad to Mac Transfer 4.2

4Media iPad to Mac Transfer is an app that lets you copy content to/from your iPad. The application will detect your iOS device and then show you everything that you have on it.

It can find Music, Movies, Books, Photos, Ringtones and Voice Memos. Although it says "iPad" in the application's title, don't let that fool you. I think that all these apps use the same software. I tested this using my iPhone 3G, and it worked just as well as the iPad. All my songs were detected and the app even told me I had an iPhone 3G connected.

The app's main window shows the device that you have connected, along with some information about it, like capacity, space used in audio, video, photos, books and other data and available space. It also shows the device's serial number and firmware version. To the left, you will find the main categories: Music, Movies, etc. On those windows, you can select the songs or movies that you want to download to your computer and click the "Copy to computer" button. And your data will be downloaded. You can also use this tool to send data to the iOS device, which replaces iTunes syncing. It works very well.

All in all, this app lets you transfer data from and to your iOS devices. I think $40 for this app is a bit expensive, but that is just me.
