3herosoft iPad to Computer Transfer is an iOS backup utility. What this application lets you do is backup pretty much all the content on your iOS device and copy it to your Mac for safekeeping. It supports music, movies, ringtones, voice memos, camera rolls, photos, SMS messages, contacts, and your music playlists, including your top rated songs and the list of 25 most played songs.
Although the name suggests that only iPad can be used with this app, I was able to use both an iPad 2 and an iPhone 4, although some things didn't work with the iPhone. For example, both devices were detected just fine, but when I attempted to copy a song from my Music library to my Mac, the application returned an error. The error stated that the file could not be found. I can't say for sure if this is going to work for you or not, but thankfully there is a trial version that you can download to try for yourself.
The graphical user interface is very similar to other iOS backup tools. There is a list of things that you can backup on the left pane, and you see the actual content on the right. You can check the boxes next to a song, book, ringtone or photo and click on the "Export to Mac" button to back it up. The app can handle multiple files at once, which makes it really easy to copy your entire libraries back to your Mac really quick.
