4Easysoft Mac FLAC Converter is an audio converter. It was designed to let you convert audio files encoded using the FLAC codec.
FLAC stands for Free Lossless Audio Codec, and it is a format that can be used to compress audio without any loss in quality. It is a great format, but support for it is not as widespread as support for MP3. According to the description on the developer's website, you can use this application to open FLAC files and then convert them to a variety of other formats. Some of the formats listed there are: AAC, AC3, AIFF, AMR, AU, FLAC, MP3, M4V, MP2, OGG, WAV, and WMA. However, when I tested the app, I was only able to convert to FLAC. That was the only format that appeared in the format selection menu. Then, I decided to go ahead and try to convert an MP3 file to FLAC to see if the application was any good at doing that. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the results. My source file was 4.5 megabytes and the trial version converted half my file, and surprisingly, that half was 13 megabytes in size, which is ridiculous. FLAC is supposed to compress your audio.
In short, 4Easysoft Mac FLAC Converter has a few problems. The developers claim one thing on the website, and the application does an entirely different task, and it doesn't do it well.
