1Keyboard is a great utility that lets you share your keyboard and mouse. The app can connect to different Bluetooth-capable devices and then share your keyboard and mouse with them, so that you can effectively input text into your device using your Mac's keyboard. If you have ever typed on a touch screen, then you know how slow and troublesome that can be. Well, if you have your device next to your Mac, then that shouldn't be a problem any more.
1Keyboard runs on the menubar. There you will see an icon that reads "1KB". If you click that, you will see a list of configured devices. The top device will be Desktop, which is your Mac. When you click on one of the devices, a big black icon will show on the screen with the name of the device that you clicked. This means that all the text that you type will be sent to that device. While a device is connected and activated, you won't be able to type text into your Mac, until you click on "Desktop".
The first time that you run this application, you will see a window that contains setup instructions. They are very simple and the process is thoroughly described.
I was able to pair and connect my iPhone 4 and type SMS messages with my Mac's keyboard almost instantly. I didn't experience any problems at all and I have to say that I am very satisfied with this application.
