1Checker is a free Mac application that provides you with a quick and simple way to verify if your texts have any grammar or spelling mistakes. Just import the document you wish to analyze or paste the text content directly on the app's main screen, and the utility will provide you with results you need within moments.
You need to create a personal account on the homepage of the developer in order to use this program. Afterwards, you can log in within the app's interface and start checking texts for grammar or spelling mistakes.
The application provides you with a complete report based on the scan results. It will let you know the amount of grammar and spelling mistakes, your CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) vocabulary level, etc. It also highlights the mistakes within the imported text and provides you with solutions for the grammar or spelling issues.
The one thing that doesn't work 100% is the built-in translator. This built-in utility sometimes fails to offer you the information you need (shows an error). Other than that, I have nothing bad to say about this program. You can always use the Google Translate service in your default browser if necessary.
Hence, you should give 1Checker a try if the aforementioned flaw doesn't mean much to you.
