TinyAlarm is a very basic alarm application for the Mac. It allows you to set up alarms from the MenuBar. When you click on the TinyAlarm icon on the MenuBar, you will see a list of 11 different times. These are pre-programmed into the application. They allow you to set quick alarms. For example, the first one is programmed to be set up to go off 3 minutes after the current time, the second, 5 minutes, and so on. So, if the time is 6:10PM and you open the menu, you will see 6:13PM, 6:15PM, all the way to 9:10PM (2 hours ahead). All that it takes is clicking one of those to set the alarm.
When the alarm goes off, you will see two small buttons below the MenuBar icon, but nothing else. Unfortunately, TinyAlarm doesn't unmute the system when an alarm goes off. This is something I expect every alarm app to do. Thus, you have to make sure that your system isn't muted when you are expecting an alarm, but that kind of defies the purpose of having an alarm.
Alarms simply play sounds at different speeds. There aren't other types of alarms, and the app can't carry out any actions when an alarm goes off.
Very handy utility that lets you schedule reminders by just dragging any file or url to the OS X Menu bar.
