Info updated on:

The Saint: Abyss of Despair is a hidden object adventure game developed by Alawar where you play as an ex-priest who travels to Africa to aid your cousin. Your objective is to unravel the mystery behind the alleged demonic possession of your cousin's daughter before you run out of time.

You begin by telling the story of how your cousin lost his wife and saved his daughter from the fever virus miraculously. However, things went south when your niece started showing signs she wasn't doing well spiritually as she showed your cousin papers with the "Help" message written to them.

Your investigation begins as soon as you arrive to your cousin's house. You will need to explore numerous locations, solve hidden object puzzles, and collect as many clues as you can. The app keeps a record of all important notes from your investigation in a journal which can be accessed at any time (left side of the screen).

I like the way all hidden object scenes were nicely drawn in detail. However, I can't say the same thing about the scenes you explore as they weren't too impressive.

Another good aspect is that you can always use the Hints option. This feature comes in handy whenever you're having a hard time finding a certain item in a hidden object challenge or you're unsure to which location to go next.

To summarize, The Saint: Abyss of Despair is an exciting and addictive puzzle game for Mac. So, if you're into playing spooky and challenging hidden object games on your spare time, you should definitely buy it.
