TextEdit

TextEdit is an easy-to-use word processor built into OS X. It’s great for creating simple compositions, but it also includes features like spelling and grammar check, Auto Save, tables, smart quotes, lists, and graphics. You can save your documents in a number of formats, including plain and rich text, Microsoft Word, OpenDocument Text and HTML.
