Temp Monitor is a software utility, designed to run on Mac computers, that monitors the temperature of the computer's processors and notifies the end user when they reach dangerous levels, thus preventing the computer from overheating and protecting the hardware components.
When you enter the app, you get in contact with a standard GUI, with well-delimited screen spaces and an easy-to-navigate menu. Yet, the buttons could've been better polished and the font style better chosen.
Temp Monitor provides users lots of useful information, such as current value, name, description, status and even a history graph of the available sensors. The app lets users view the current fan speed, as well as the minimum and maximum values. Moreover, the fan speed can be controlled by the end user by switching to manual or auto-boost mode.
Other included options are the File Logging, Notifications for when you're not near your PC, and the Hotkey for changing the fan control mode or opening the dropdown menu.
In conclusion, Temp Monitor is a smart and effective application to use in order to monitor the temperature of your CPU and prevent it from overheating. It may cost a bit, and may not have the most innovative features, but it's very effective.
