Sweetie is a simple Mac application that enables you to transform your favorite pictures into ASCII art.

This program converts images to text arrangements according to the output configurations you define, from font style and size to grid and charset type.

The app lets you load pictures of various formats, like JPEG, TIFF, DNG, PNG, and many others. After you make your photo selection, you can configure the text and grid settings from the left panel and click the Render button.

You can export the results to various output formats and share them with your friends via Flickr or Facebook account.

The only aspect I don't like about this program is the fact that it doesn't generate actual ASCII codes to paste on websites or other applications. You can only load the preferred picture and save the result to an image format.

As for the rest, Sweetie is a simple to handle and efficient app for Mac that helps you change the look of your photos into ASCII art. The program gives you access to dozens of text style configurations, supports various image formats, and offers you the results you need in minimum time.
