Super Image Utility is a utility which helps you convert, resize and add watermarks to images.
It is a simple program that doesn’t need advanced knowledge to handle it. The intuitive and uncluttered interface gives you the chance to get used to this tool immediately. You have two possibilities to add the images to the panelist, either one at a time, or the entire folder. The app gives you the opportunity to preview each file that you have selected. You may convert, resize or insert a watermark from the ‘Options’ menu. When choosing the first action, you get 12 different output file types, among which I shall mention JPEG, PNG, TIFF, GIF as the most popular ones. The fact that you can convert to ICNS (Mac OS icon image) seems to be very interesting. At the same time, you may compress the file for saving the disk space, but the image quality suffers. Regarding the second function, resizing, you can appeal to presets or you can use your own dimensions selected according to your preferences, which can be saved for future use. The last option, Watermark, allows you to give a personal touch to your images. You can perform common changes such as insert texts, change the font type and its color, or you may bring a shadow effect which gives an exquisite note to your watermark.
The program is not complicated at all, so that I understood quickly how it can be managed. If you don’t have enough experience with this sort of tools, you can always appeal to the help file which is built very well. However, I would have liked to be able to preview the image after each change (this option is available only together with customizing the watermark), particularly when I use the compression feature. Thus, I wouldn’t waste time with saving the modification and then viewing the result.
