SpotiFree is an OS X app that automatically mutes ads on Spotify. It polls Spotify every 3 seconds to check if the current track has a track number of 0, which all ads have. If it does, Spotify is muted for the duration of the ad. After the ad is over, the volume is set back to the way it was before.
