Info updated on:

SketchMee is an image editor for Mac that enables you to transform landscape and portrait pictures into stunning sketches. The application works with a wide variety of image formats, allows you to crop the pictures before applying any visual effects, and provides you with numerous drawing configurations.

All you need to do in order to use this program is to select the input file, opt for the proper pre-made template, and export the resulted image. You can also print the drawing directly from the app's interface.

The image editor provides you with several output profiles but you can also configure thoroughly the sketch settings to precisely match your requirements. You can opt for another drawing technique (pencil, chalk, etc.), select the proper paper style, choose the detail level, etc.

Another aspect I like about this program is that it offers you a solution when you lack inspiration: the Randomize Settings option. Once this option is enabled, the app randomly selects the output settings and displays a preview of the drawing.

Personally, I was a bit disappointed by the fact that the application doesn't offer support for batch processing. Hence, you can't process an entire photo collection using the same output configurations. What's more, SketchMee supports only one image format when it comes to exporting the sketch results.

To conclude, SketchMee is a simple program that helps you turn photos into drawings with minimum effort. The app brings an intuitive interface, provides you with various pre-made templates, and comes with a reasonable price.
