Sketcher is a Mac program designed to transform your plain pictures into stunning artworks. This application provides you with plenty of color filters, lets you preview the results before saving the sketch to your local drives, and offers your quality output files within moments.
After you load the input file, you can configure the output settings from the Filter Parameters window. The app allows you to adjust the levels for brightness, contrast, stroke, shading, and contour. I like the fact that the program also lets you choose from various sketch filters (pencil, watercolor, pastel and oil) and drawing texture styles (Old Paper, Grained Canvas, etc.).
You can export the resulted pictures to popular output formats, such as JPEG, PNG, BMP, and TIFF. You can also save your artwork as a project in case you plan to alter it later on.
Nevertheless, this image editor comes with several flaws: it doesn't support batch processing, it might take a while to render some pictures, and it works with a small amount of image formats.
All in all, my belief is that you can find better solutions for converting digital photos into sketches. This application comes with important disadvantages when it comes to adding drawing effects to your pictures, so I'd say it's not worth acquiring it.
