sixtyforce is a shareware Nintendo 64 emulator for the Mac. The version that you download for free is fully functional, but you have to register the application if you want to get access to some extra features like game freezes, auto-saving and the removal of a logo. Auto-saving is a nice feature to have, but not exactly necessary.
When you download sixtyforce, you are only downloading the emulator. If you want to play any games, you are going to have to use game ROMs. If you owned the console and dumped the ROMs, you can legally play them. To start a game, all you have to do is click on "Open" and select a z64 file.
I tested the emulator with an old dump of Goldeneye 007, one of my favorite N64 games. The game was playable and it looked OK. There were a few problems with sprites, but that is to be expected. The controls are customizable and there is even support for USB gamepads.
There is a list of working games on the website. The list isn't extensive but there are some classics there. sixtyforce doesn't seem to support too many games, and I don't think the application is updated much these days.
