Secret Folder 8.3

Secret Folder is a program that offers you a solution whenever you need to hide sensitive files and folders within your Mac so that no other user can access them.

This application enables you to make your important documents look invisible and password-protect them if necessary.

This program is so simple to manage that even a user with no knowledge in file encryption or access control tools would have no difficulty in using it. Your only task would be to drag and drop the files you need to hide over the interface and enable the "invisible" function.

For instance, I have a document containing a list of passwords which I require at work and no other users should be aware of. Secret Folder lets me hide them with just one click and keep these sensitive information away from prying eyes.

Of course, you may think that it's an easy task to find this program and look for the hidden documents. This is why Secret Folder lets you set an access password for each file or folder you hide and block unauthorized users from checking your documents.

The only thing that bothers me about using this application is that you can't hide more files or/and folders at the same time. You have to select by hand the invisible option for each file or folder from the processing list. Despite this flaw, I still consider Secret Folder to be smart solution when it comes to hiding relevant files from other users.
