Scrabble is a word game where your goal is to build words by using a certain amount of letters. The app lets you play against a computer player or challenge a friend for a quick match, provides you with detailed gameplay instructions, and keeps track of your highest scores.
You can choose between the following game modes: Classic, 75 Points, 150 Points, 8 Rounds or 12 Rounds. The app also offers you options to select the preferred difficulty level and enable Duplicate (both players have the same set of letters) and Best Word (provides you with a word using your current letters) features.
Furthermore, you have access to a dictionary tool where you can check if a word formed from your current letters is valid. The more complex the build words are, the higher your score will get.
The one thing that bothers me is that the app doesn't offer you an option to save your gameplay progress. It can only let you resume the last played game or overwrite the progress with a new match.
To summarize, Scrabble is a fun and addictive word game that can keep you in front of your Mac for hours. What's more, it comes with a fair price.
