Save The Farley Mowat is a first-person shooter action game. This is a project that was done to raise awareness about animal cruelty around the world, and especially in Canada, according to the developers of the game.

In the game, you are an activist who has to recover the Sea Sheppard vessel, which was impounded by the Canadian Army. You have a machine gun and a rocket launcher and your enemies are Canadian Army drones. The shoot rockets at you. But you, being a really tough activist, can survive three or four rocket hits before you die. There is only one enemy type.

You start the game in sort of a port. Right away, your presence is detected by the drones and you have to start fighting them. They will die after a few direct hits with your machine gun, though, exploding in several pieces. You have to make it to the ship to finish the game.

To my mind, the game is very short, and the action is nothing to call home about. The enemies behave similarly and they are an easy target to be destroyed.

When I started playing the game in a windowed mode, I often clicked outside of the window because the mouse pointer wasn't locked inside. This is solved by going to full screen. You might also want to adjust the mouse sensitivity.

To rap it up, Save The Farley Mowat is an OK game for $0.99. It has average graphics and average gameplay. It is obviously not a game that you would play for more than a few minutes.
