RouteBuddy was designed as modern planning software and wrapped in a comprehensive, yet intuitive-to-use interface.
The trial version of RouteBuddy comes with only one road map, Santa Fe, and two topographic maps, Afan Valley and Yosemite Valley. But, more locations are available in RouteBuddy Store, which can be accessed directly from the application's interface. For every location, you can apply waypoints, draw routes, measure the distance between any given points, determine its latitude and longitude, attach links and insert comments and markers.
RouteBuddy is directly connected to Google Earth and to online mapping services, such as Yahoo! Maps, Google Maps, Bing, OpenStreetMap, OpenCycleMap and OpenPisteMap. There are three kinds of maps supported by RouteBuddy: road maps, topographic maps and aerial maps. Just pick the one you're interested in. Importing and exporting data is a very easy-to-perform action. The application even allows you to search for POIs, addresses, attractions and all kind of interactive places.
