Picture Switcher is an application that adds a menu to the right side of your menu bar to switch desktop pictures. It includes Core Image to create special effects on pictures and has a new placement type, 'Scale to Fill Screen', which will proportionally scale the picture to fit the screen. You can also set keyboard shortcuts for the program.
