PhotoRescue is a smart utility for managing data from memory cards. It comes with a modern look and all of the features and tools are available from the main interface. It comes with great functionality and provides support for all file types, even if it was mainly designed to recover photos. The tool also provides support for different RAW file formats, especially to digital cameras.
What makes this tool different from other similar products is that it allows users to rebuild broken files, using advanced defragmenting technology. The customization of the interface is non-existent, but the tool gains points for high applicability and functionality. It runs on low resource consumption, so it will not burden one's Mac, and can be safely used simultaneously with other applications. Also, the utility provides users with quick testing and erasing tools for the memory cards. The testing of the card can be done in two modes: read-only and read/write modes. The erasing tool basically formats the memory card.
Briefly, PhotoRescue is a handy utility for testing and managing files from memory cards.

The only thing that I cannot get is why the basic ("Wizard") version of this program costs 29 bucks. It's way too much for a modest photo recovery software. With such pricing these guys are destined to fold up.
