Download and upload digital photos between your Mac and iOS devices. Detect and connect to a WiFi network enabling the connection between selected machines. Perform transfer, synchronization, removal, and other operations with image files, check the results, etc.
Photo Transfer App is a very useful utility for iOS users. It allows you to download photos from your devices to your Mac and vice versa. I have an iPhone and I love taking pictures with it. However, when it is time to put those pictures on my Mac, there isn't an easy way to do it. I have tried PhotoStream, which syncs the photos to iPhoto, but it becomes disabled every time I launch iPhoto, so I have to download photos again constantly. Photo Transfer App lets me simply select the photos that I want to download from my phone and tell the application where I want to save them. To work, it requires a separate application installed on your iPhone or iPad. When the phone and the Mac are connected to the same network and the apps are running, you can transfer photos and videos both ways.
Photo Transfer App for the Mac is free, but the apps for the iPhone and iPad are not. They are only $2.99, though, which isn't expensive at all when you consider using them very often. Users who don't have the problem I mentioned above with iPhoto and PhotoStream don't really need this, but in my case, it is a great app to have and worth those three dollars.
