PhoneView is an iOS device manager and file transfer tool. It can be used to move files from and to your iOS devices, such as iPhone, iPod, or iPad, and you can also use it to manage your devices in a variety of ways. With PhoneView, for example, you can use your iPhone as a file storage device. You can copy any file to it and then you can copy that file back to another computer.
The main PhoneView window consists of a list of "locations" on the left, and the content of those locations on the right. These locations, or categories, are Disk, Contacts, Notes, Call Log, Messages, Web, Voicemail, Apps, Music, Videos, Books, Podcasts, Ringtones and Photos. So, if you click on Messages, you will see all the current messages on the right. I like how easy it was to set up this app and how smoothly the connection with my iPhone went. I was able to look at my call history and messages instantly, and I could download all the photos on my phone quite easily.
It should be noted that you don't get complete access to your phone. You can use this app to put and download files onto and from it, but you won't be able to go deep into your iOS device's file structure.
