Using core technology developed for PFTrack - the industry leading tracking and analysis system - PFHoe 2.0 provides a tremendous amount of power via a very simple to use, intuitive interface. A brand new tracking engine tracks even more shots even faster! With support for HD version 2.0 offers even professionals a simple to use first hit tracking solution. PFHoe is a great place to start when tracking shots and learning the ropes.
The import Wizard guides the user through importing and setting up your footage by explaining the parameters that are needed to successfully track a shot, without patronising the user. The simple one click tool set provides an environment even the most inexperienced user will get great results from. Like its big brothers PFTrack and PFMatch, PFHoe solves any kind of camera motion, including zooms and nodal pans.
PFHoe 2.0 also features additional tools including a new focal length estimation system, a unique automatic lens distortion correction tool, support for importing mattes from third party applications, simple edit tools to modify tracking data and quality graphs to aid the user in making data editing decisions. New marking menus give fast and easy access to scene orientation. Distortion corrected DV resolution footage can also be exported as a QuickTime or AVI for proper matching of 3D objects into the scene in third party compositing applications.
Camera data can be exported to common CG packages with 3D support via a range of plug-ins working under an API to facilitate future support of new applications. PFHoe 2.0 ships with a comprehensive set of exporters including Maya, XSI, 3D Studio Max, Blender and Pixel Farm XML.
