This application provides you with a simple way to convert PDF documents into Word files. Once the PDF content has been extracted, you have the chance to make further editing in Microsoft's word processor. What is great about PDF-to-Word-Pro is the support offered for image-based PDFs – therefore, you will be able to convert scanned PDF files into editable documents.

The program comes with a neat and user-friendly interface – still, the appearance is unattractive and rather dull. Adding files for processing is done exclusively by browsing your computer from within the app, as the easier drag-and-drop method isn't supported. Once the PDFs are imported, you have the chance to preview their content, in order to check whether you've loaded the right documents. The utility allows you to convert PDFs in batches, but it doesn't let you merge multiple files into a single larger output document. The resulting files will have either a .doc or a .docx extension, depending on your output format selection. Selecting a page range for conversion is not applicable to the free version of PDF-to-Word-Pro, since you are limited to converting only the first page of a multi-page PDF document.

The thing you will probably appreciate the most is the ability to extract the content of scanned PDFs. This can be done thanks to the OCR function provided, which offers support for the six most common languages. more
