Pavtube iMedia Converter for Mac combines three video conversion tools in one. It has a video converter, a DVD ripper and a Blu-ray ripper. When you see its price, you will probably have the same reaction that I had, but as soon as you see all the things that you can do with this app, you will probably change your mind.
The application lets you access all of its features from a single window, unlike similar tools that use a launcher and restrict you to one feature at a time. You can load your Blu-rays, DVDs or video files by using the buttons on the top toolbar. Ad for Blu-rays and DVD discs, you will see a list of titles when you load them. You can check the ones that you want to convert and then select the desired format at the bottom of the screen, from the format drop-down menu. There are a lot of video and audio formats supported and lots of conversion profiles for specific devices. If you are converting a 3D Blu-ray, you will be happy to know that you can keep the 3D features of your movie when converting it. Of course, any conversion will result in quality loss, but the 3D effect will be there. You can also convert 2D files, or DVDs to 3D using the built-in video editor.
In conclusion, this application has a very nice graphical user interface, a long list of useful features and great format support. It is not cheap, but it does let you do quite a bit with your media files.
