NoteBook is a handy application developed by Circus Ponies Software and is used for taking quick notes and managing tasks, projects and errands. It comes with a well-polished interface that resembles a paper sheet and grants the Mac users quick access to all of the features. The manager contains computer tasks, office tasks, errands, and many other functions and tools used for planning projects. This feature-rich application allows the users to assign due dates, add charts, sketches and diagrams. The tool is highly customizable, and allows the users to make changes upon general use of the tool, appearance, start-up of different projects and other helpful functions. Also, the users can add at any time date and time stamps, for a better management of the projects. This piece of software also contains a “multidex” function, which provides the users with quick access to valuable information about the functions and tools of the application.

All taken into consideration, it is safe to say that NoteBook is a handy tool for adding quick notes and managing projects, to-do lists and various errands; it comes with an appealing interface that resembles paper sheets from a notebook, it has an easy-to-use menu and comes with a good functionality.

It seems that some confusion has arisen between Circus Ponies notebook which is at version 3.0.14 (v486) downloadable at http://www.circusponies.com/downloads/CircusPoniesNoteBook3.0.14v486.dmg
and SmartTech Quick Notebook which is itself at version 3 - downloadable at http://smarttech.com/us/Support/Browse+Support/Download+Form?download=SMARTNotebookExpress3_0Mac
Smart Tech is a maker (20+ years) of smart whiteboards - their software suite is at version 10.7 - quite expensive and some of their distributors have acquired a bad reputation for benign unresponsive to end users of the smart whiteboard systems.

The confusion is to be expected when products use the generic words smart and notebook in their product names. This of course creates confusion when trying to keep ones software up to date
